phbu Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to phbu. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what personal data we collect from Filipino players, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have under Philippine data protection law. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.
📅 Last updated: January 2026How phbu Protects Your Data
Six core data-protection principles that underpin every decision phbu makes about how your personal information is handled.
Encrypted Storage
All personal data stored on phbu servers is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Transmission of data between your browser and the phbu platform is secured via TLS 1.3. Your account password is stored as a salted hash — phbu staff cannot view your raw password under any circumstances.
NPC Compliance
phbu processes personal data in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 — the Data Privacy Act of 2012 — and the implementing rules and regulations issued by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines. Your rights under the DPA are fully recognised and actionable through phbu's Data Protection Officer.
No Data Selling
phbu does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party marketers or data brokers — ever. Your information is shared only with service providers directly necessary to operate the platform, and only under strict data processing agreements that prohibit secondary use of your data for any commercial purpose.
Defined Retention Periods
phbu retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by PAGCOR regulations and Philippine anti-money laundering law. Once the applicable retention period expires, data is securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with phbu's data retention schedule.
Your Rights, Respected
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to certain types of processing and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. phbu has clear internal procedures to respond to all data subject requests within the timeframes prescribed by the NPC.
Dedicated Data Protection Officer
phbu has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for overseeing compliance with the Data Privacy Act and this Privacy Policy. The DPO serves as the point of contact for all data-related queries, complaints, and regulatory correspondence, including communications with the National Privacy Commission.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how phbu ("phbu", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects the personal data of individuals ("you", "your", "Player") who access and use the phbu online gaming platform at phbu.net and all associated services (collectively, the "Platform").
phbu is a PAGCOR-regulated operator serving Filipino players across the Philippines. As a regulated gaming platform, phbu is subject to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and all relevant issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). This Policy is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of that regulatory framework.
By registering an account on phbu, making a deposit, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described herein.
